Terremark Worldwide, a global player and a leading provider of IT infrastructure services, has chosen Schiphol for locating its new data center.
Terremark will take up it’s residence at the beginning of next year into a logistic centre of 6,000 m² located at the Caterinweg at Schiphol-North.
The centre will sustainably renovated in the near future and installed as a data center. Schiphol (Real Estate) and Terrremark have launched a study to investigate how the heat released by the activities of the data center can be used as renewable energy for airport processes at Schiphol.
For the adjacent area Terremark has an option agreement with Schiphol Real Estate for the realization of a data center campus of approximately 25,000m².
In this transaction Terremark has been advised by legal advisor Greenberg Traurig and real estate advisor 3stone Real Estate.
