Eric Heijkoop is one of the three founding partners of 3stone. Prior to establishing 3stone, he held several senior management roles at Jones Lang Wootton (later JLL) in Amsterdam and Utrecht, where he met his current partners Gerard Lakeman and Marc Rimmelzwaan. He later became CEO for the Netherlands and served on the Benelux Board. In 2007, he co-founded 3stone with the ambition to establish a boutique advisory firm where clients are guided on a personal and content-driven basis.

Eric has advised a wide range of national and international corporates on their real estate strategy, spanning investment transactions to corporate accommodation. He has developed an extensive network across institutional and private investors, as well as leading developers. His approach is personal and transparent. He dissects complex questions and, through experience, finds answers to every challenge. He consistently safeguards the client’s long-term interest – even when his advice is to halt a process. Durable partnerships, founded on mutual respect, outweigh short-term gains.

One of the most meaningful mandates in Eric’s career was the sale of four AC Hotels on behalf of two family owners. He considered leading this process an honour: these hotels represented the final assets of multi-generational ownership. The assignment demanded more than transactional execution – it required discretion, care, and the closure of a family chapter. The successful outcome reaffirmed the trust long-term relationships place in Eric and in 3stone.

For Eric, the strength of 3stone lies in reliability and the direct involvement of the partners. Clients must be able to rely on 3stone for any real estate question; if a solution is not immediately apparent, it is created together. The five partners act from the same premise: reliable and transparent advice, guided solely by the client’s interest.
