Vondel Hotels is expanding its collection even further this year with Hotel Pontsteiger and Café Pontsteiger in the Houthavens in Amsterdam. Hotel Pontsteiger is located in the new state-of-the-art ‘Pontsteiger’ building at the IJ, which also includes luxury apartments and restaurants. The hotel will have 25 rooms, varying from one to five stars. Furthermore, the hotel is equipped with catering facilitiy ‘Café Pontsteiger’ with large sunny waterside terrace and a quay with space for a boat. Hotel Pontsteiger & Café Pontsteiger

The 90 meter high Pontsteiger building is the new benchmark on the banks of the IJ and has a tough and robust appearance. The entrance to Pontsteiger is a 30 meters wide pier, starting at the Tasmankade. The new mooring place for the ferry to Amsterdam Noord will also be stationed here. Hotel Pontsteiger and Café Pontsteiger will settle in the east and west of the building. Vondel Hotels has appointed interior decorator Nicemakers for the interior of the hotel and restaurant.

Vondel Hotels is growing In addition to the announcement of the arrival of Hotel Pontsteiger, Vondel Hotels has planned more hotel and restaurant openings in the near future. For example, in June 2018 the first hotel and restaurant will be opened outside Amsterdam, Hotel Monastère Maastricht and Café Louis in Maastricht. And this year, successively, Hotel van de Vijsel on the Overtoom in Amsterdam and Hotel Mercier and Café Ons Huis in the Rozenstraat in Amsterdam will open it’s doors.
