Frasers Property has acquired the new distribution center of dairy cooperative FrieslandCampina in Meppel through Frasers Property Investments.
The distribution center of approximately 31,000 m2 was developed by District 54. The logistic property was completed in May 2018 and FrieslandCampina has signed a long-term lease for the DC. The distribution center replaces some DCs that were in use until recently. The DC mainly processes dairy products from the factories in Beilen and Meppel.
For Frasers this is the first investment in the Netherlands. In 2017 Frasers took a majority stake in real estate investment company Geneba Properties. Frasers Property was advised by Loyens & Loeff (legal and fiscal). Friesland Campina and District54 were advised by CMS Derks Star Busmann (legal) and 3Stone Real Estate (commercial).
