Heembouw will soon start with the realization of a new production facility for Jiffy International, consisting of 25.000 m² warehouse and 550 m² office space, at the Oude Maasweg in Zwijndrecht. The new production facility with harbour facilities will be build on a site of approximately 60.000 m². Habeon Architects made the design. Consultancy and Engineering bureau Uticon will assist the project structurally and advice on the tenant improvements. Troostwijk advised the transaction on behalf of Jiffy. LCN Capital Partners has taken the new development in their portfolio. 3Stone Real Estate, Houthoff Buruma and Search advised LCN Capital Partners in this transaction.

Jiffy International AS, headquartered in Kristiansand Norway is the leading worldwide supplier of environmentally friendly propagation systems, hydroponic systems, growing containers and substrates for the horticultural industry. Utilizing renewable resources and bio-based materials such as peat, coir, pulp and other bio-mass and plant starches, Jiffy has been on the forefront of sustainability for many years. Jiffy is a globally operating company and has manufacturing locations strategically located near peat bogs in Canada, Denmark and Norway, producing peat pots and Jiffy-7 pellet propagation systems.

At the new location in Zwijndrecht peatlands will be submitted and processed and mixed to high-quality substrates for growers. For this purpose, the current insertion port will be converted into a seaport in order to be able to moor coasters. The new production location of Jiffy will be delivered on July 1st, 2016.
